I can’t do it. A thought that was in my head for the last week. Tomorrow, Saturday the 26th of November 2016, will be the third time I am going to take the IELTS test.
I am preparing right now and I totally broke down. Tears, feeling scared and sad, the feeling of failing and not believing it can happen.
The IELTS test
The IELTS is the test that is needed for my following visa. Now I have a working-holiday visa, which allows me to stay in Australia for one year.
If I want to stay after this first year (obviously) I need to get another visa. I am aiming for the work-sponsored visa.
This means you get a job and that they provide you with a visa (short explained). This visa requires you to score 4 times 7 out of 9 on the IELTS.
And I never thought it would be this hard – hard yes, not this hard. Not so difficult to get those 7’s and not so difficult to keep faith and believe in myself.
But right now I am at a point that the pressure is so much, I feel like I can’t do it. I just can’t.
DO NOT GO THERE.
GET BACK HERE.
Yes it is hard and it takes all the energy out of you
Yes it is difficult and making you tired
and mad, sad, useless,
But remember how far you’ve come – and that is my trick.
When I feel like I can’t do something
When I think I am not able to keep going
I look back and see how far I’ve come. I am almost there.
Only 20 days, 20 nights and after that it will all be worth it.
To be back, to be there, to be home.
So let’s go, you can do it and most importantly will do it!
YOU’VE GOT THIS. YOUR DREAM. YOUR LIFE. YOU – and you know it, this is just a little reminder, we all need it every now and then.
