My first 2 weeks as a worker in Australia are over and here is how my job went so far.
And what an amazing opportunity I have here, to build up my life in an unknown world.
And what an adventure to experience the working life too, because we all know Australia is pretty and worth the travel, but what does working life look like?
From my point of view, pretty awesome.
Because besides the fact that you have less time for other things when you’re working, there is still time and it is yours to decide what to do with it.
And I am still in Australia, with all the beautiful things right around the corner to see.
So is work life a big change? Yes
Does it make me want to go back home? No
I never disliked working and I have always enjoyed going to work, so maybe I am a bad example, but working isn’t so bad at all.
I met new people, I am learning new things every day, I am improving my English and becoming independent.
So what are the differences compared to home?
Besides the fact that it is different work and a different team, I found a few things different:
– 37,5 hours, that’s your whole week!
– 1 hours lunchbreak, I GET A LUNCHBREAK
– weeklypay, yes for real
– 20 min drive to work
And things that are the same:
– great team (I got lucky)
– exciting work
– amazing company
Overall an amazing outcome and I am so excited to see what is next to come
Lots of love,
