Hi dreamer and welcome to a big achievement,
I am just going to put it out there. A big thing has been ticked off my life-long bucket list – I am featured in a magazine!
My story is shared in a Dutch magazine. This is a big thing for me, as this is my home land.
Also the fact that people on the other side of the world are telling my story, that is pretty amazing!
I love it when I can present myself as an inspiration for others and hopefully for you too.
This whole blog isn’t just me sharing my story, it is to help you!
Therefore I thought it would be worth it for me to share my magazine issue here with you.
Yes I translated the story so it can reach more people. So keep reading and get inspired!
Here is the exclusive story translated specially for YOU:
My name is Michelle de Vries, I am 24 years old and since the 17th of December I’ve been living in Australia. How did I end up there?
After traveling in Australia for 5 weeks in 2014 I was sure, this is my home! When I saw the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House in Sydney for the first time, I felt like home.
The ambiance, the people and the habits made it feel like home even more. Once I was back in The Netherlands I started thinking:
Is Australia where I belong?
A year after I got home and after visiting the emigration expo I knew it for sure: I want to move to Australia.
Okay, that’s great. And then what? You made the decision, but where do you start? What do you have to do? And what do you have to prepare?
Emigrating/Moving to a new country is a big decision. One you don’t make overnight. It is a risk, you quit your job, give up your apartment, you prepare yourself for a life in a new country and in the mean time you want to enjoy your last moments with your loved ones.
How did I do all of this?
With help! My biggest help was Visa4You. A company that is specified in emigration to Canada and Australia.
Visa4You made sure I knew what I was doing and when I had to do it. They also gave me the opportunity to be an inspiration for others by letting me share my story here.
It is an amazing and intense experience, but hard work pays off.
Right now I am working as an internal accountant at an Australian company. I live 10 minutes from the beach and I live more than I ever did before!
Everything is worth it if it means you can realise your dream. And yes, there are moments where you wonder if this is what you should do. But honestly, what have you got to loose?
You are chasing your dream and if it doesn’t work out, at least you tried.
But if you chase your dream and do succeed, than your reward is priceless. Than you are living your dream!
Go for it, I know you can!
Lots of love,
